2012 EastGen 4-H SHOWCASE

For over 20 years this program has been offered to Beef & Dairy members in the Atlantic Provinces, and it is always a terrific experience.

This event is being held June 22^nd, to June 24^th, in Truro, at the Provincial Exhibition Grounds and the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. The program will begin at approximately supper time on the 22^nd, and until the 24^th, it will be a very intensive and exciting program. New this year, 4-H members, aged 13 years and older, as of January 1, 2012, are invited to participate. The program concludes on the final day with a show for conformation and showmanship classes. Parents and friends are invited and encouraged to attend the Show and Awards presentation on the final day of the event, but are not to participate in the sessions prior to that.

The program places heavy emphasis on learning. 4-H members who have been selected to attend will be expected to bring the information back to their region. All delegates and their parents should carefully read the delegate conduct form. As well, I remind delegates that if accepted, a member agrees to participate fully in the program and to be present for the duration of the event.

Please complete all of the enclosed forms and return them to me by May 1^st. My address is PO PEI 4-H Council, Box 2000, Charlottetown, PE, C1A 7N9. Also, I would ask you to send the registration fee of $110.00 to me by May 1^st , Cheques are to be made payable to the PEI 4-H Council. I need your forms and money by this date to guarantee your spot at this Show - so don’t delay!

I would like to remind members that if they cancel from the program, half the registration fee will be reimbursed until June 1^st ; after which no money will be reimbursed, except in extreme circumstances.
