Travel Awards are packed with opportunity for both members and leaders. Meet new friends, learn new skills, travel to other provinces, and represent P.E.I. 4-H. The trips are awarded to deserving senior members (16-21 years old) based on their leadership with the 4-H program and their communities. Leaders with two or more years of service are also invited to apply for travel and chaperone opportunities.

Travel Costs for National or International Travel Programs

  • *National Travel Program Registration fee $232 plus cancellation fee of $18 for a total of $250.
  • *International Travel Program Registration fee of $332 plus cancellation fee of $18 for a total of $350
  • Majority of all travel programs have 1 - 2 meals which are the members’ responsibility.
  • With regards to dress code requirements members are not required to purchase new clothing items but are encouraged to bring their best clothes or borrow clothes from someone else.
  • Please do not let the travel costs discourage you from applying for any of the National or International Travel Programs.  The 4-H Program will work with members to ensure they can participate in these travel opportunities.

Eligibility criteria  for National Travel Programs includes... The applicant must have been in 4-H at least two years.

  • The applicant must have met all of the 4-H Year Completion Requirement in the previous year.
  • The applicant must be an active 4-H member when he/she tries for the travel program and when he/she goes on the travel program.
  • The applicant applying for the Citizenship Seminar, or the National 4-H Conference must be 16 by the program date.
  • An applicant who is a permanent paid employee of 4-H at the time of selection shall not be eligible for consideration.
  • The deadline and number of delegates traveling for the awards vary depending on the program. Applications can be downloaded below.
