Enough about you, what about your club? Clubs are the core of the 4-H experience and as any returning members knows it's pretty exciting to meet and work together with a group fo people who all share your passion whether it's horses, food, skateboards, or photography.
How to contribute to the club
By now you've selected a project but before you jump right into things, here is some advice on how to get the most out of your club experiencee.

EXECUTIVE ROLES
4-H is the one place where you are in charge. Here's how:
President
Chairs meetings - sets meeting agendas with Overall Leader - Ensures meetings run efficiently - Breaks ties
Vice President
Assists the President - Assumes the President's duties when he/she is not available - Takes responsibility for hosting club visitors and guests
Treasurer
Maintains accurate records of all money received or paid out - Pays all club bills, as directed by the club
Secretary
Keeps written notes on all meeting events and motions (minutes) - Reads minutes of previous meeting at each meeting - Maintains club correspondence in files - Responds to correspondence, as directed by club
Club Reporter
Lets people know about all the cool things your club does - Serves as the official photographer for the club

Join the Executive - Run! Get elected! This way you can help everyone have the best possible experience!
Know the Project - Try to learn as much as you can about the project you're working on. Chances are the project you picked is something you find interesting anyways, so hopefully that shouldn't be too tough!
Help Others - Your teammates are going to encounter tricky problems during the year, take the time to help them out and they'll return the favour.
Keep Promises - Only make a promise when you know you can meet or exceed the other person's expectations.
Show Up - History shows us that it's really tough to contribute to your club or learn anything if you're not there. Some clubs specify how many meetings you must attend.
Make Connections - Take advantage of the opportunities to go to District, Provincial and National events. Then, you can meet interesting people from other clubs.
Be Positive - Never underestimate the power of thinking positive. Bringing a smile and a good attitude each and every day helps everyone succeed by keeping the collective energy up.
Be a Solution Person - Always look for solutions to a problem, rather than simply complaining about it. Much like Make Connections, a positive possible solution and outlook can do wonders for a group stuck on a particular problem.
